The Cleaning Show

No, this is not a new streaming series where you watch people clean their houses. Yes, Marie Kondo sparked decluttering frenzy with her book The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up and her subsequent show Tidying Up with Marie Kondo on Netflix. And yes, she has spawned a legion of imitators including The Home Edit, Hoarders, and Clean Sweep. But no, The Cleaning Show is actually a trade show held annually organized by the British Cleaning Council and Quartz Business Media, and this year, after a Covid break, it returns to London the first week in November.

With over sixty of the top vendors showcasing their products to the CSSA innovation showcase to The Window Cleaning World Cup judged by The Guinness Book of World Records for the fastest man and woman to finish cleaning a window for a £1000 cash prize, The Cleaning Show will return after a Covid hiatus to emphasize the importance of cleaning and sanitation in these times.

Their program will feature panels on the critical role of our industry post-pandemic, why earning a real living wage for our workers is so critical, how our industry can lead the way on sustainability, how to employ new technologies to deliver first class cleaning, and the importance of infection control in the workplace.

The biggest draw will probably be the new and improved bots showing the advances in autonomous cleaning, along with some of the better, sleeker, faster equipment that's helping companies speed up work times and mitigate worker burnout.

And of course, all Covid protocols will be followed.
